Hello how was your chu 1 (i.e. CNY day 1?) ;) Mine was pretty awesome, there wasn't any quarrels/conflict within my family!!!!! ;) Normally any normal day outing we'd argue like at least once LOL. Then make the whole atmosphere damn =.= But yeah it was awesome that day! ;)

Went to my grandparents' house and my cousin brought his xbox 360 and kinect so we were playing w it! :)

Then we went to my grandpa's sister's husband house (his sister passed away :( ) and we were greeted with tons of food! Every year we'd go there and eat tons of yummy food. I still rmb there was this year i dripped the food onto her cushion and the stain wldn't come off x.x and i just kept quiet about it hahahaha humji.

Anyway, at the last house, there's this old grandma who kept praising me and say that i'm really pretty, (HEHE -SHY-) Then my bro was like -pukes- beside me LOL. Anyway, not the point, i'm really scared that one day i'll become old and like ugly and all, and i'll envy those pretty young ladies, with their beautiful skin and face. Sigh i dw to grow old!!!!!!!!!

She said i'm a really nice girl teehee (but i think she just doesn't know the other side of me)

Yesterday my aunty brought my sister out to go shopping so that she wouldn't be very sad about the dog. Then i thought she'd have so much fun and forget about the dog. But when she came back, she actually bought a soft toy (with her own $$). The soft toy's actually a dog! She pointed and said, this is to remind me about doggie.
My sister loves animals ttm man ;) (She's a vegetarian cause she saw a vid about how animals were treated!!) Kudos to her :>

I always had a great relationship with both of my parents. My mom was always caring and spoiled me with her love, and my dad was the guy I would sit around, watch TV with, play guitar, and have fun. He ALWAYS made me laugh without fail. My parents got divorced when I was very young so it became routine for me to go back and fourth between houses. We started to notice that my dad was coughing a lot and couldn’t keep his food down. Numerous doctors said that it was acid reflux, not to worry, take some mangosteen. We didn’t think much of it until my dad really could not keep from vomiting every time he ate. We were worried but every doctor we went to said it wasn’t anything to worry about until finally in the summer of 2008, a Cat-scan showed a baseball sized tumor on his esophagus. It was the summer I graduated 8^th grade and was preparing for my first year in high school. My dad (in true father style) told me that it would clear up soon with a little chemo and radiation and I (in true ignorant child style) believed him. Everything was normal for a while. He would go to the hospital, get his treatments, it was no big deal.
I remember the first time I realized something was wrong. He told me he was going to shave his head because he was starting to lose his hair. He asked me if I wanted to come with him into the bathroom and help and I said no because it scared me. He understood and two minutes later came out completely bald. It was a bit shocking but it still never sunk in that he was in danger. As time went on and the intensity of the treatments grew, my dad would wake up in the middle of the night and vomit, a lot of the time, there was blood in his vomit. During the day, he was coughing up blood and could no longer talk. The radiation therapy caused him to lose his voice. He couldn’t drive anymore and wasn’t eating much because he couldn’t keep it down. That’s when the doctors decided to surgically implant a tube into his stomach so he could feed himself liquid supplements, by-passing the gag reflex. There was a big syringe attached to the tube where the food would go in. The most terrifying moment of my life was having to feed my daddy through a tube in his stomach because he was simply too weak to feed himself. And still, all this time I thought he would be fine.
The last time I saw him was after school one day. I had really liked this guy in my classes and was begging my mom on the phone to let me stay after and hang out with him. We argued for a very long time on the phone because I didn’t want to go see my dad. “all he does is throw up and make gross noises that scare me” I said to her. She still insisted that I had to go. When I got there, my dad was sitting on the couch, watching TV like every other time I saw him. We sat, I fed him, we watched tv and played a little guitar too. A couple hours later, the phone rang and my mom was downstairs ready to pick me up. As I was leaving I kissed my dad good bye and walked towards the door. Just as I was half-way out, I looked back and called out to him. “Dad?” and he turned around. Then I did our little sign that meant “you are number 1 one in my heart” to him and he did it back. I said I love you and slowly closed the door.
A few days later, September 10^th, 2008: I was in Biology class, goofing around at my table during free time. It was a lunch period at this time too so there were a lot of kids outside. Mr. Grinner, a yard aid came in and said my mom was here and I had to come see her. He seemed happy and walked me over there. I asked him “Am I in trouble?” and he jokingly said back “I’d know you by now if you were one of the trouble makers”. I happily walked into the office only to find my mother in tears. I was shocked, I had thought that maybe my dog was hit by a car or something. My dad never crossed my mind. Sobbing she said to me “Shelby, your dad is gone”. I screamed and cried but it didn’t hit me until weeks later. When I walked outside I was still bawling and made eye contact with Skyler. I remember being embarrassed. I went home and slept for hours. Then I watched superstar.
Years later, I have been through depression, losing friends, gaining friends and enough therapy to last a lifetime. I miss my daddy more and more every day and think about him always. The pain never stops, but it does get better. I can promise you that. If you met me, you wouldn’t know what I have been through because I seem happy and well. But never, ever judge someone based on their emotions and don’t think that just because someone seems happy, it is okay to make fun of them because they can’t possibly be going through anything. Yesterday i had shooting day camp and we kinda had this angel and mortal game, but it wasn't exactly played the proper way cause many didn't care/had a chance to care LOL. So end up we just kinda wrote letters to each other i guess.

My angel wrote me this:

"I think you are scary (HAHA I WAS LIKE WTS AT THIS LOL.). Hi mortal! This part is after the morning programme. I think you are not so scary now and in fact, rather fun and sporting! :) You are very friendly. (AWWWW, SEE I AM NICE AFTER ALL!!) So please pardon my handwriting :X (IT WAS REALLY HARD TO READ HAHA). Had fun knowing you! Good luck for your studies!"

Growing old and dying.

Today ended in a depressing way ever. :(

I went for shooting camp, it was sucky at the start, but it turned out fine, and really fun too. The people there are very nice ;) Kudos to those who planned! (i.e. XY VV VN SL)

Anyway, moving on, my pet dog died today :(

Honestly, when the dog was very ill, and i knew it would pass away, i thought i wouldn't be sad when it pass away. But i am. :( I was not close to my dog at all, but every night i'd wait and observe the dog, make sure it still breathes, and saying goodnight to him before going to bed. But i can't remember the last time i actually walked him or played with him. But i do pet him, and i do cover him with the "blanket" (i.e. towel) when i see him shivering. But sigh, i can't believe he's gone though. But the good thing is that he'll stop shitting/peeing every where i guess. (Please don't think i'm heartless)

Anyway, my sister texted me this afternoon when i was still in school "doggie die liao" i was like omg then i called home immediately, and when i found out he was dead, i really felt :/ + :( But actually, it's better for him to leave the world actually. He's already been suffering for quite some time, especially these few days. He has difficulty eating, he has difficulty drinking, and he's like blur blur already, because he just lies/sleeps on anywhere, even though he just peed/shitted there. Sigh, poor dog right? You may ask, why didn't we bring him to the vet and put him to sleep. That's because my parents believes in that reincarnation, and that the dog should finish suffering first, so that he's next life would be better. Some may say bull shit out there, but hey, that's my parents' belief, nothing to do with you. So please respect our choice, even though i advised them to put him to sleep. But, whatever.

And then my sister cried REALLY BADLY :( Sigh that poor girl. And she offered her scholarship $$, $300 bucks so that my dog gets a proper uhm, what do you call that, the uh, to burn the dog into ashes, and bring the ashes back. See how much she actually loves the animals? $300 may be no big deal to you, but it's a huge deal to my sister, it's her freaking scholarship she got from the school for being in the top 10% in the cohort. She even made balloons and placed beside the dog. There's this in a puppy shape, and this in a sword shape. Sigh, poor sister. Looking at her, i feel really sad :( She cried very badly last night also, because she saw how the dog was suffering sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm really afraid of becoming old, like the dog, to be honest. It seems scary, like, how when people are old, they're so vulnerable and ill. They're no longer aware/clear of what is going on, sigh. I really don't want to grow old and become useless. But i would want to leave the world some day though, leaving on Earth for 12304925 years is no joke man! Maybe dying at the age of 50 or something would end the sufferings I don't want to become old and useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, this is a really late post, about my family gathering on the 26th Dec to celebrate x'mas! :) Actually it's just more of a family gathering.

Before i went for the gathering, i got ready pretty early.. so i started.. camwhoring LOL. I didn't post this up on fb for the fear that i'll appear to be in love with myself LOLLOL. I have mixed feelings about going to school tomorrow.

I'm kinda excited actually, i have no idea why LOL. Maybe because it's been ages since i last met my school mates, wore my school uniform, etc etc. Oh wellllllllz.

But i'm really afraid too, it's A levels year this year x.x Really worrying. I'm very scared for History and GP. Urgh. For Chem as well.

Also, i want this year to end quickly!!!!!!!! Then As would be over by then. Gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm all jittery about As ALREADY. :(

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realise that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people have had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.
2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children's youth and their partner's companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly,in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved.Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.
It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip.But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks,love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called 'comfort' of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have sillyness in their life again.
When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again,long before you are dying.

Anyway, during batam, i was thinking how i have lost my drive for things that i was really passionate about. This sparked off as i was reading saved text messages, those really sweet kinds from my friends.

4H last year, was my favourite class, and as their chairperson, i worked really hard to keep the class in order, keep the class bonded, making sure there were outings and all. It was my passion to serve them, honestly (and to boss them around teehee), but right now, i'm so sick of organising things for everyone, even 4H. I'm just leaving it to the rest to organise already. And i'm not even close to 4H anymore :( It's just not like before. But what to do? My busy hectic life with NCC -sighs-

Also, the current chairperson for 5I, i'm not even putting in effort for them to organise things man. I'm just doing what is needed of me, i don't even strive to serve them well. I'm like a bad example in class too (LOLLOL) -sighs-

Delta too, i've like given up on them already, just staying closer to a few people, that's all. The rest.. some i don't even say hi to them when i see them in school. What were the 4 years together for? :(

AYLC, being a facilitator, being a facs comm. head. I used to kind of like being a family head - a facilitator that is, but i've lost my passion, i don't even like to face participants now, for the fear of being not good enough, and i just.. don't feel like it anymore. I also feel too old for it (LOL). Being a facs comm. member/head, i really liked that job, i didn't have to have direct interactions with the participants, but the facilitators instead. I used to love all of my facilitators, appreciate and thank them genuinely. I used to care for them as though they were my little precious kids, but right now, i seem to not give a damn anymore. But, i still miss those times, being their "mum". I really loved it, seeing how they grow, how they were appreciated.

I have no idea why, these things just seem unimportant to me already.

Anyway, my sister got this scholarship thingy, and won $350 bucks because she's the top 10% in her cohort, LIKE SMART ONLY. Then she went to get the $$ today, and she really wanted my mum to come down. And guess what, because of miscommunication, my mum didn't go down and take photo with her in the end and she was REALLY REALLY DISAPPOINTED :( I feel for her. -sighs- like a little kid, wanting to impress her parents, and yet they are not there, not there to share the pride and achievements. :'(

Thankfully, my parents were there when i got my PSLE results and 59th POP.

Hope sis does well next year, and then parents will be there to collect results w her! :) I'd want to go too!!! :>

Today i went for a hair cut and hair treatment. It was awesome :> But the conversation between me and my hair stylist was even better. He's from Malaysia and he told me about his life over there. How he was also a hair stylist there, and whenever he's upset he'd go to the beach, have fun with friends, stare at the stars, until the next morning and go to work again. Carefree isn't it? How come it seems like we can never have time or the freedom to do it in Singapore? Or maybe it's just me. Sometimes i think the less you expect from life, the less you have, the less you climb on the social ladder, it might actually be better, as you'll have much more, you'll experience much more, and maybe, lead a more fulfilling life. What everyone is after right now, doesn't seem to lead them to a better life huh. Everyone's after money, social status, 'happiness' that's defined with $$. I want $$ too, but i don't want my life to be filled with work work and work only. I want to go overseas, see all the greatest scenery and things on Earth. Get to know people from all over the world, and be carefree. I want to help those in need, no matter where they are on Earth. I have so many things i want to do, yet so little time, and i'm here typing all of these, and i'm going to study my year away in the coming year. Will it all be worth it?

I was super embarrassed yesterday, was going home from Sentosa, saw this guy with super weird/cool/UNIQUE hair that looks fake. (currently looking for a picture that looks like it)

SOMETHING LIKE THAT LOL. Just that that guy had much less hair HAHA OOPZ.

Anyway, yeah not the point. I was reaching out to touch it, but he was talking to his girlfriend, so i didn't. When they ended their conversation, i reached out again, and my friend was like O.O!!! Then end up that guy's friend happened t turn around and talk to him, and saw me reaching out (I WAS SO CLOOOOOOOSE TO IT >() Then his friend told that guy while my friend laughed @ me >( And told that guy that i just want to touch his hair (!!!!!!!!!!) I collected my instax mini 7s yesterday, it's awesome man ;) Took my first two shotssssss, then took another two at home, one turned out screwed though LOL. And took another two for my aunty + her daughter and gave them each one. Anyway, today i realised how little i know about hmmm like university admissions and all, and it scares me, like uhhhhhh everyone else's getting an edge over me cause they know what they want, they know how to get it, if they don't, what's their back up plan to get it, and if they don't again, what's their other choices. While i'm here like... uh.. i don't really know? OR.. uh i guess business stream will do? Since i have not much interests in other streams kinda thing.

Then i was wondering if studying Uni abroad better or in singapore was better, then it just kinda hit me like how much this decision matters, how little i know, how little i researched for my own future, but i'm just so lazy and i want to enjoy life LOL.

All i know now is that i want to get into a business stream so that i can start up a SUCCESSFUL business then carry out like F&B business/something else in the developing countries so as to help the people there, instead of donating $$ over and letting the government take it all, or like instead of feeding/giving the people there fish, teach them how to fish. I really have interest in volunteering work as well, but that means i'll earn v little and the spectrum of people that i'll help will be narrow as well :( Y LIDDAT.

These few days been pretty great, especially when it's with my favourite people ;) Like 4H and kbt~ kbt raya was pretty fun, except for the looooooong travelling timeeeeee, and then it was fun fooling around, esp @ rosalind's house ^.^ like fighting and all LOL. And then steamboat with 4H was awesome much, i feel so comfy with them, like we can talk about anything and everything~ :> But i'm going broke already! :( Spent like 20 bucks on my birthday for lunch, then spent 119.50 bucks on polaroid, then spent another 20+ on steamboat yesterday, today still going picnic w krist, probably ordering pizza wts >( B-R-O-K-E. :( Ah welllllllllz, hahahaha whatever, have fun now first, next time broke then worry ;) Awesome time outtttttttttttt these few days ;) Finally no need to worry after promos (even though results are like coming back hmmmm ON WEDNESDAY?!) grah.

Was reading through the PDF documents that Mr M sent us and came across a picture of Gorbachev kissing Reagan, urgh LOL. Damn gross + distracting.

Imagine facing this during revision T.T I went online to search for the exact picture but couldn't find it, but believe me, the actual picture was much more disturbing because you can see the mouth like urgh hahahaha sorry but two old guys kissing's kinda gross x.x And i realised Gorby actually kissed Eisenhower too! SSC 2011

Hello, SSC's over, and i'm missing it already :( I have never felt like this for any other camps before :O (as a cadet officer) and this goes to show how awesome SSC was, maybe because it was a stay-in camp after all, the experience was totally different from spec course phase 123. I've had fun working with everyone :) And everyone was so awesomeeeee, especially west hehehe ;) But then again, this SSC is also the most tiring camp i've been to, (and one that i woke up late for both morningz x.x) but oh wellz x.x hahaha but still very very fun :) Just very different working with SEA and other seniors like sholihin hahaha damn fun~ And this camp is that one where i felt the closest with the cadets too :) Awesome much much much ;) Alpha 2222222222222 da best ^.^ (esp section 2) kthxbai time to mug for promos, damn scary :O (v stressed haiyo~)

Hello i'm here to update my bloooooooog, cause someone complained LOL. Anyway, i'm quite excited for NCCDP, but not excited for AYLC trip :( Am kinda dreading it actually, partly it's because of the things and how much behind time i'll be when i come back. ELEVEN DAYS YOU KNOW. :( grahz, BUT AM QUITE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SHOPPING PART :> With shao tan~ heh. Will try to buy more things back this time round ^.^

NCCDP that day will be when results of the west council's new term council heads are out, hopefully no ponding!!!!!!!! Hahaha~ >:)

Btw this NCCDP is different from how i felt in chairman farewell parade~ I had Eunice at that time, my parade buddy :( Now it's kinda weird cause i was dragged in last min :( hahaha but oh wellz, got to make friendz too hahahaha my best bud is wei ting HAHAHAHA. I think he'll scared that i get bullied or feel left out and bring me to wherever he goes LOL (not all the time though needa punch him alrdy!)

Hello school's starting tomorrow. And i haven't rested enough :( Oh welllllllz, i just need to get through this week and everything will pass very quickly. With the upcoming rehearsals for NCCDP, and all the various meetings for AYLC 2011 and the China trip on the 18th, wah i really hope i can cope with all these. As soon as the trip pass, i'll be free from all these worries etc, then it'll be time to face SPA and EOYs. x.x Am really pretty worried but oh wellz, it'd be fulfilling. So fast half a year pass already, very soon i'll be 17 gahhhhh i don't wna be 17 :( Oh wellllllz whatever blah hahaha.

Hello phase 3 was pretty much okayyyyyyyyyyy hmmmmmz, actually i don't really enjoy going for all the camps as much as i thought i would, hmmm. But oh wellz, it's okay loh. But i actually prefer uhhhhhh phase2? I think. But i'm okay with both lah, but oh wellz x.x Committing too much time to NCC, tmr going down to HQ somemore, but what to do~ Fun what hahaha. (a bit contradicting but oh wellz) NCC do have its perks ^.^

Hello, i'm booking in for Phase 3 tmr :> Anyway i got period and my tummy kinda hurts, i hope it won't affect me that much. x.x

Anyway, my grandma's sister's husband, i.e. my grandma's brother-in-law, has got cancer i think stage 4 and i think he will pass away quite soon x.x Haven't seen him since my grandpa's bday celebration, wanted to visit him, but he's not in a very good mood, i think he thinks that everyone's visiting him to bid goodbye and he isn't very happy about it x.x How fragile life is, and yet he doesn't want to see people for the last few moments, but actually that can be understood too. Oh wellz. x.x

Hi i went to kfc alone today to study physics, did thermal energy + the tutorial (but some still dk how to do) BUT NOT BAD ALRDY QUITE HARDWORKING. Might consider doing math later tonight. Went to school, wanted Ms Jane to sign our promotion form, end up qy and lk late (tsk!!) then we were rushing our forms out then end up Ms Jane (plus she like keep trying to imply that i was rude to her but i wasn't!!!!! >( )had to rush off and.. our forms were not signed. Then went home, Livia haven't send me her GPP part, had to do it by myself cause she couldn't be contacted, then someone was pissed at me when i didn't do anything wrong -.- (in my pov that is, BUT WHATEVER)

Okay i'm just ranting, not blaming anyone, esp livia since she did not ask for her internet connection to be cut off, blahhhhh just ranting. Oh wellz, whatever people.

Today my mum told me her worker (a china woman)'s child was being abused back in her hometown. And it's kinda sad cause her daughter did not dare to let her family members know, cause her family members just got through some family problems and so on. Furthermore, she was abused twice. And since young she was already bullied by her grandfather, who would use his leg to shove her aside, when she's quarreling with her other cousins (males) because in china, they simply favour guys over girls. How unfair is that huh, luckily i'm born in Singapore.

Another thing is that, my mum's friend, who works at this uh glass deco kinda place, then some kid messed up the whole area, tried to use tissue to clean up, then his grandmother was like, no need to clean, cause you paid money already. Then my mum's friend super pissed. Then my mum said, you should have said this 'next time your grandmother enters the elderly home or the hospital, you have no need to visit her, since you pay already' LOL MY MUM'S (Y)
